10-582g Roberts EvnSeam Iron offers many of the same great features of the Roberts 10-282G, however it offers some additional features that standard “off only/on only” irons do not:

· Patented dual heating element system – one heating element stays on full time to deliver an even, more constant temperature.

· Cast-in heating elements – provide faster, more even heating because there is no extra material to rob heat away from the working surface. This is compared to a “press-fit” system (ex. Orcon Feather-lite Iron) and/or a “clamped-in” element (as with most irons).

· More effective placement of the aluminum in the base, coupled with the cast-in heating elements, reduces the hot/cold spots which can cause the temperature to fluctuate above and/or below the standard turn on/turn off temperature.

Even with the heaviest tapes, these additional features allow installers to close seams faster with less damage to carpet fibers.

Other features include:

· Fully grooved non-stick coated base

· Red light indicates that the continuous heating element is on

· Green light indicates when the second heating element is on

· 3-way cord guide

· 10 foot power cord
